Duties
Collects sales slips, total sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons and makes change as necessary. Maintains related cash records. Keeps work area clean and orderly.
Sets up food service counters and steam tables with hot and cold foods and beverages. Prepares coffee and hot water for tea, fills beverage dispensers with juices and soft drinks.
Sets tables, seats guests, records guests' selections and turns in orders to the kitchen. Serves food and nonalcoholic beverages. Presents bill and receives payment. Cleans tables and immediate area.
Washes dishes, pots and pans. Empties trash and cleans and sanitizes containers. Unloads trucks and places contents in proper storage and use areas, brings supplies to work areas.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages.
Certificate of Medical Examination is required.
May be expected to work morning AND afternoon shift and weekends and holidays if necessary.
Qualifications
Experience or training that indicates knowledge skills and ability to perform the duties of this position.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English and possess basic math skills.
Able to bend, stoop, walk, and reach frequently.
Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.

This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

PCS Costs
Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
FWS Allowances and Differentials
This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
Incentives and Bonuses
Incentives will not be paid.
Foreign Overseas Allowances
Foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
