About The Opportunity The Flex Operator is responsible for assisting production in day-to-day activities as needed. When not needed by production duties, the flex operator will support the technical team by performing insert changes, completing mold change prep work, and performing basic preventative maintenance activities as needed. Key Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Trim, inspect, and apply correct decoration to parts 2. Keep work area clean of all trimmings, oil, and water 3. Complete mold change prep work as needed 4. Complete insert changes as needed 5. Install/remove nozzle patterns as needed 6. Perform basic preventive maintenance 7. Understand and perform standard work on production order change over 8. Responsible for accurate completion of paperwork 9. Other duties as assigned Education/Certification Level Required None Education/Certification Level Desired High school diploma or equivalent Work Experience Required Entry Level Work Experience Desired • 1-3 years of relevant work experience • 1-3 years of experience in plastics manufacturing or fabrication setting • Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire • Lock out/Tag out Certified or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Ability to understand paperwork, both technical and production. 14. Demonstrated basic mechanical knowledge. 15. Demonstrated basic electrical knowledge. 16. Demonstrated basic hydraulic knowledge.
