What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver for Elderly position at US Skilled Serve?
1) Record entries on flow sheets, notes, and charts when applicable.
2) Report significant changes in the resident's condition to a Medication Technician soon as practical.
3) Do not disclose resident's protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to your supervisor.
4) Monitor a new resident's room is ready for the resident, i.e., the bed is made, name tag in place, etc.
5) Introduce yourself, roommates, and other staff as appropriate to new residents.
6) Mark and inventory the resident's personal possessions as instructed.
7) Assist with transferring residents as necessary.
8) Perform assigned duties in accordance with state, federal, and facility policies and procedures.
9) Follow work schedules/assignments in performing and completing your assigned tasks.
10) Cooperate with all facility personnel. Report problems to your supervisor.
11) Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment.
12) Report complaints and grievances made by the resident to appropriate personnel.
13) Notify your supervisor when you will be late or absent from work.
14) Report occupational incidents, including near misses.
15) Assist residents with daily oral care, i.e., brushing teeth/dentures, oral hygiene, etc., as directed.
16) Assist residents with bath functions, i.e., bed bath, tub or shower bath, sponge bath, etc., as directed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
