Attention all child caregivers, teachers, or parents! Do you have an upbeat personality? Do you have a passion for early childhood development? Can you communicate openly and confidently with parents? We are seeking energetic and experienced individuals to lead engaging and interactive "Parent & Me" classes for toddlers aged 18 months to 3 years alongside their parents or guardians. This role involves creating an imaginative and nurturing environment that focuses on early motor skill development, coordination, and bonding through interactive playful activities. By leading the "Parent & Me" classes you will inspire the next generation of children.
The first step will be attending a Virtual Introductory Hiring Presentation, where you will learn more about USA Sport Group! Following the presentation, all candidates must attend a practical in-person event to gain approval to work with us. Candidates must be willing to commit to the entire season. A class is 40 minutes duration, typically taking place on a Saturday or Sunday morning in blocks of 2 to 3 hours. Successful hires will be provided with comprehensive paid training, uniform, equipment, and curriculum necessary for the role.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Previous childcare (babysitting, nanny, parent, etc.), teaching, and/or coaching experience (Required)
- Excellent communication skills with parents to engage toddlers
- Patience, creativity, and a passion when teaching young children
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching methods (repetition, positive reinforcement, etc.)
Responsibilities include:
- Implement a pre-structured curriculum designed specifically for toddlers and their parents, focusing on fundamental movement skills, coordination, and intro to sports concepts
- Communicate effectively with parents by providing guidance and demonstrations on how to interact and support their toddler in developing foundational skills
- Conduct weekly sessions in an interactive and playful manner while ensuring a safe environment, emphasizing age-appropriate equipment usage and adherence to safety guidelines
- Create a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging participation and bonding
