What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wood Department Operators position at US Tech Force?
US Tech Force is looking for qualified Wood Department Machine Operators. The successful candidate will have the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a team within a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate for this role has experience in the manufacturing sector, pays strong attention to detail and is committed to workplace safety.
- Must have an eye for quality and measurement along with the ability to consistently lift between 20-30 pounds.
- Use measuring instruments; calipers and ruler to inspect product quality.
- Sort boards in end board sorting area.
- Understand and utilize basic math skills, including decimals and reading measurements
- Experience using a caliper or other related measuring equipment
- Basic reading and writing
- Must have ability to maintain and be authorized to operate forklift and/or other power industrial trucks.
- 1st Shift–6:00am to 4:00pm–Monday – Thursday
- 2nd Shift–4:00pm to 2:00am–Monday – Thursday
