Maintenance Manager
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled professional to oversee and manage the day to day operation of our Cleburne, TX maintenance facility. The Maintenance Manager will supervise the maintenance team and maintain the maintenance shop.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervise, schedule and perform maintenance and repair on trucks and trailers, with mechanics
- Diagnose mechanical electrical problems related to all systems including engine, cooling and heating issues
- Supervise and perform repair and maintenance on trucks and trailers
- Order and track parts for repairs and track up and coming repairs
- Supervise and maintain inventory of parts and equipment
- Supervise and participate in the work needed to implement preventive maintenance for all vehicles serviced by facility
- Maintain the maintenance shop to ensure a state of operational readiness during its scheduled working hours
- Inspect and, if necessary, road test vehicles upon completion of work to ensure quality of repairs performed
- Maintain clean, orderly and safe working environment
- Oversee the training and development of maintenance staff
- Oversee and comply with the local implementation of maintenance and safety standard operating procedures in this maintenance facility, ensuring that all maintenance staff follow
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of diesel engine repair, diagnostic equipment, and mechanical equipment
- Certified mechanic or Certified Diesel mechanic a plus
- Advance knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Skilled in the repair and preventative maintenance of commercial trucks and trailers
- Ability to track and control parts inventories, vendors and suppliers
- Proven service background with knowledge of warranties
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external staff and business partners
- Ability to prioritize repairs and schedule staff accordingly
- Intermediate computer skills required including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Qualifications
Summary of Experience and Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum of five years of diesel shop supervisor experience
- Truck and trailer mechanical repair experience
- Commercial Driver's license (CDL) preferred but not required
- Knowledge and understanding of DOT and FMCSA regulations
Pre-employment Drug screen and physical will be required.
