Configuration Analyst I

Position Summary: In this cross functional role, this person will serve as a critical resource in the change management process from inception through end-of-life for Illumina products. Be part of a team that recently launched a new PLM system and looks to employ and support efforts to optimize the change process for the business. This person should be a highly motivated and team-oriented individual who is detailed oriented, well organized, demonstrates effective communication skills both verbal and written, problem solving skills, and a strong process orientation. Responsibilities: Maintain product and process configurations in PLM and ERP. Support cross-functional teams on the creation of Change Requests (CRs) and Change Notices (CNs) and assure configuration and document changes include required information while resolving any issues that arise. Support maintenance and accuracy of engineering and manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs), and other product documentation including, but not limited to development data, requirement details, and production content. Perform Where Used reporting and impact analysis to identify significance of change. Schedule and monitor changes and implementation activities throughout the change management process to ensure accurate and speedy processing. Able to understand implications of PLM/ERP changes to downstream cross functional areas and systems. Work in accordance with procedures and integrated program plans for achieving and maintaining the required level of product quality in preparation for FDA and ISO third party audits. Participate in global change related improvement project initiatives. Support continuous improvement initiatives to advance process and capabilities. Author and maintain work instruction documentation Other tasks as assigned Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent work experience Beginning to intermediate experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools required. Experience in medical device/ pharmaceutical/ IVD is desirable. Experience with process and material change and configuration activities within a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, Teamcenter desirable Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience, SAP desirable.
