The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As an Analytical Chemist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Supporting stability and quality control testing of healthcare products through analytical testing techniques Operating and maintaining a variety of lab equipment including GC, HPLC, UPLC, pH, UV, FTIR, etc. Documenting testing and results following cGMP requirements in electronic laboratory notebook Supporting and interacting with Laboratory personnel, Quality Engineers, and other groups Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution Experience working with analytical chemistry laboratory equipment (academic experience is considered qualifying) within a private, public, government or military environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Biology (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution. Experience in Empower data capture software systems, or other equipment data collection systems Background in regulated industry for medical devices or pharmaceutical products, including FDA, ICH, and ISO requirements Experience with drug testing quality systems Professional organizational skills, attention to detail, compliance behaviors Understanding of basic scientific principles, concepts and methodology governing work performed Flexible and responsive to changing priorities and able to multi-task, time management skills and a high level of independence after the training phase Technical skills and working familiarity with laboratory procedures and processes with ability to follow detailed procedures Experience with statistical data analysis Technical writing skills for reports and analysis Location: Maplewood, MN Travel: May include up to 10% domestic Relocation Assistance: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
