Develop editorial calendars and guide content projects to ensure they meet key milestones and are delivered on time
Assign content to freelance writers, and work closely with them to ensure they understand company goals
Review content submitted by writers; give feedback and guide revisions
Review analytics to identify opportunities to improve content and conversions to schedule visits
Writing:
Be the lead writer on a wide variety of content, including news articles, web pages, blog posts, articles for physicians, human-interest features, and fundraising materials
Translate dense, complex information into conversational language that’s accessible to a broad audience
Identify photos and visual storytelling opportunities to supplement written content
Requirements
3 years of full-time experience creating healthcare or science content, ideally on an in-house team
A self-starter who thrives on working independently
Ability to manage multiple projects and seamlessly switch between them
An eagerness to collaborate
Perseverance: when a project gets hard, you double down
Commitment to excellence; you keep rewriting content until it shines—even if it takes 10 drafts (because sometimes it does)
A strong writing background, ideally with a B.A. in journalism
An understanding of the digital landscape, including SEO best practices and analytics tools
