In-Building Solutions Project Manager

Job Summary

The In-Building Solutions Project Manager supports the In-Building Solutions program by overseeing the installation and service of various wired and wireless infrastructure solutions, cabling infrastructures for communication systems and other related products.

This position's primary functions are to ensure that all project functions are carried out and help shepherd each task through the process from kickoff through closeout. Tasks to include ordering the system design from the design team, sending to engineering team for Construction, material procurement, management of installation work force, scheduling, coordinating communication between all parties, providing daily updates to all stakeholders, completion of closeout deliverable and ensuring all processes and code compliance are followed.

Written and Verbal Communication Skills are a Must! Communication between stakeholders and project updates are the most important part of this position.

Responsibilities

The DAS Project Manager is a hybrid role that will split time between the office and the field. Office-based tasks will include sending communications, working with vendors for quotes & orders, managing tasks & milestones, coordinating schedules & budget related tasks, billings, scheduling site access, permits, inspections, etc. Field based tasks will include working closely with the Construction Manager and other Installation Technicians to ensure the scope of work is clearly understood and executed as per quality standards and codes.

The duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Entering and tracking project information into SiteTracker project management tool.
  • Managing project milestones and ensuring forward progress.
  • Communicating with customers, vendors, & associates to keep all stakeholders informed and realistic expectations set.
  • Perform Bid-Walks & Site surveys.
  • Managing procurement & implementation tasks for projects.
  • Review and Interpret solution Designs.
  • Oversee and provide scope direction to installers, technicians, construction managers, and subcontracted vendors.
  • Complete job-related documentation, record keeping, and updates.

  • Communication Skills – Strong Communication Skills desired to keep the customer and company informed of progress of installation.
  • Relationship building skills – ability to work within a dynamic team setting and provide role model leadership to USA Groups workforce.
  • These personal qualities are important to the job, as I am looking for a candidate who can understand project ownership.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of strongly related experience with managing of projects in the telecom construction field.
  • Knowledge of the terminology used in the in-building Distributed Antenna System (DAS), and wireless infrastructure industry.
  • Strong understanding of wireless infrastructure and related services
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Proficient in Software based project management tools.

Working Conditions

  • Climbing of stairs, ladders, and/or scaffolds.
  • Exposure to noisy or dusty conditions; mechanical, electrical, and/or other hazards.
  • General hours of Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. But ability to provide support during and outside regular business hours is required.
  • Work indoor/outdoor with variable conditions.
  • Regional travel may be required.
  • Must be able to work in the United States.
