The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of South Alabama Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine has an opening for Emergency Medicine faculty (Associate Professor/ Professor) to work predominantly at one or at both USA Health University Hospital, the Region's only Level 1 Trauma Center and USA Health Children's and Women's Hospital. There are also opportunities in our new Freestanding Emergency Department, all within the city of Mobile. Qualified candidates should be certified in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine. The Emergency Medicine program has interns/rotators, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant students, in addition to a mature Residency in Emergency Medicine. Additional training or academic experience in research, emergency ultrasound, EMS, simulation or operations is a plus.
