What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fall Recreation Soccer Coach position at USA Sport Group?

We are seeking enthusiastic educators and coaches! As a recreation soccer coach, you will work with children ages 5-12, of all skill levels, providing high-quality soccer classes that focus on the technical and tactical elements of the game, all while ensuring they have as much FUN as possible! This is a great opportunity to inspire the next generation of soccer enthusiasts and develop your skills as a coach or educator.
Training will be held in late August, and ongoing support is provided. You must have a good playing background and a positive, upbeat personality that inspires players. The Fall season lasts for 8–10 weeks, starting in early September and running through November. Sessions typically take place on Saturday mornings and/or midweek evenings, in blocks of 2 to 3 hours. If desired, additional daytime work coaching our pre-school “Squirts” classes, is available.
You will be required to attend a Virtual Introductory Hiring Presentation, where you can learn more about USA Sport Group and the coaching opportunities available, from the comfort of your own home! Following the presentation, all candidates will be required to attend an in-person event to gain approval to coach with us. Successful hires at these events will then attend paid training and receive the full uniform, equipment, and curriculums needed for the role.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Previous coaching or teaching experience (preferred)
- A fun and bubbly personality to engage children
- Desire to learn and to improve as a coach
- Passion for working with young children
- Great communication and time management skills
