Job Description: 70-85k annually
This company packs, cools and ships premium cherries, plum cherries, kiwi and pomegranates. Its farming division, is one of the largest cherry growers in the southern San Joaquin Valley and farms over 1,500 acres of cherries, plum cherries, and kiwi.
We have an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst to join our growing team.
The Financial Analyst will analyze past financial performance to predict future performance and to advise the company on its financial strategy.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Analysis and budget comparison
- Budget development
- Financial modeling
- Partner with operations to ensure accurate and timely capture and reporting of all costs and operational metrics
- Lead weekly financial and operational planning and reporting activities, including executive management reporting, analysis and forecasts, variance commentary and overall financial performance analysis.
- Ability to provide real-time feedback on financial performance
- Develop value-added analysis to help identify revenue and cost opportunities and work directly with the operations team to develop strategies to improve financial performance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance, or related field required.
- Thorough knowledge of cost accounting procedures in the agriculture industry including but not limited to growing, harvesting, cooling, & shipping
- FAMOUS software knowledge is highly preferred
- Extensive Excel knowledge
- Technologically savvy and able to demonstrate competence in a variety of technological platforms and processes.
- Strong business acumen, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven problem-solving skills, especially within a highly innovative environment
- Strong analytical, critical thinking skills, and proactive thought leadership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to influence all levels, including senior-level executives, with strong interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy
- Track record of success in delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
