Job Description US Acute Care Solutions is seeking a Payroll Manager who is responsible for managing a team of payroll processors and senior coordinators for the timely and accurate execution of the payroll function for 6,000 clinician and non-clinician employees in multiple states. Reporting to the Vice President of HR Operations, this position ensures that all payroll processes are compliant with all government agencies as well as overseeing multiple payroll related functions including but not limited to tax, quarter and year end processes and project management for payroll specific projects. Location: Remote Ideal candidate must have experience managing a team of specialist and have Workday and Healthcare industry experience. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Lead and manage a team by training, developing and coaching team members Manages timely and accurate payroll processes, including regular and supplemental payrolls as well as quarter and year end payroll processes Ensures adherence to standards, controls and procedures Complete root cause analysis to correct problems, delays, processes and inaccuracies Ensure processing of applicable payment of all benefits, garnishment and payroll deductions Partners with compensation, scheduling and HRIS teams to ensure data accuracy within Workday Development of reporting and trend analysis related to payroll for bonuses, finance and leadership Develop partnership with Human Resources related to employee benefits and deduction elections Audit and verification of banking transactions General Ledger posting through Great Plains and monthly reconciliation Verification of all reports, records, and other documents required including auditable records Work with third party tax vendor to assure filing of all payroll related tax reports Enhance internal controls and checklists related to payroll processes Monitor legal and policy changes related to payroll Responsible for special projects, audits and payroll research Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of Workday Payroll & HCM preferred APA Certified Payroll Professional Certification preferred Demonstrated experience in multi-state payroll tax laws and year end close processes Competent in Microsoft Office Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to manage a remote workforce QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field 5 years of progressive multi-state payroll experience with mid-range to large employer 3 years of management experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 pounds.
