What are the responsibilities and job description for the Simulation Engineer 3 position at USfalcon, Inc.?
We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Simulation Engineer 3 to work out of Pearl City, HI supporting the Pacific Warfighting Center (PWC). The successful candidate provides subject matter expertise and operational support in joint simulations, scenarios, database management, Joint Theater Level Simulation - Global Operations (JTLS-GO) /Simulation Operations, user training, exercise design, issue coordination/resolution, event tests development, and event execution.
Essential Duties:
- Coordinates across operational planners and working groups to facilitate and document the requirements for the simulation
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot, modeling and simulation systems on Linux and Windows servers
- Prepare and test server and client equipment using Joint Theater Level Simulation for Global Operations (JTLS-GO)
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues between server, clients, and server to server communications
- Supports simulation architecture design and planning, build, manage, and validate simulation database
- Provides Joint Simulation solution demonstrations and user training sessions, as required, during events and other activities, planning sessions, and meetings
- Assists with set-up and provides required database, terrain, maps, and other products for event support
- Performs functional and operational tests, validations, and documents joint simulation solutions/simulation operations/database during technical tests, EFT, EOT, and ECG Training to ensure proper operations at STARTEX
Required Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of Exercise Control Groups (ECG)
- Experience install, troubleshoot, and maintain Linux systems
- Experience installing modeling and simulations systems
- Experience with a simulation system (i.e. TDACS, MUSE, Joint Theater Level Simulation for Global Operations (JTLS-GO), etc)
- Experience with C4I systems (i.e. Global Command and Control Systems - Joint (GCCS-J), Agile Client, or Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS))
- Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to start, SAIC will help to obtain
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Joint Theater Level Simulation for Global Operations (JTLS-GO
Education/ Certification:
- Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
- Must have a DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (i.e. Security CE, CCNA, CySA , etc)
- Must have a certification in one of the following operating systems; Linux, Windows, or VmWare within one (1) year of hire
Required Clearance: Interim Secret and Ability to Obtain TS/SCI
