What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer 2 position at USfalcon?
We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Software Engineer 2 to work out of Hanscom AFB, MA. Supporting the C2ISR government program office team, working in conjunction with government engineers and program managers, as well as other support contractor engineers and program managers.
Essential Duties:
- Utilize software expertise to build and refine program technical requirements related to software components of the C2ISR mission systems and subsystems.
- Draft and revise software related contract CDRLs, and review/critique vendor deliverables relevant to software components of the C2ISR system
- Obtaining and licensing software by obtaining required information from vendors; recommending purchases; testing and approving products
- Performing Software Quality Assurance (SQA) on prime contractor delivered software to ensure that developed software meets and complies with defined or standardized quality specifications.
- Perform other software engineering and documentation tasks as assigned, in support of C2ISR program
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a team and to lead and direct the work of others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer experience with major aircraft software development programs.
Education/ Certification:
- Prefer Engineering degree, and 5-7 years of experience in software engineering and/or software development preferably in DoD environment.
