What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dry-End Board Supervisor Line 2 position at USG?
Description:
Responsible for ensuring all Dry End crew are fit for duty.
Responsible for leading the crew in daily safety huddles.
Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment at the Dry End.
Responsible for performing SOCs and 5S audits, as required.
Responsible for ensuring all safe stacking standards are met.
Responsible for maintaining 5S standards in all areas supervised.
Must ensure that all quality tests are performed properly and in a timely manner.
Must ensure that any off-quality board is properly held and accounted for.
Responsible for ensuring the most current version of the cut list is followed daily.
Responsible for communication to the Wet End Supervisor and the Foreman about any out of specification production.
Responsible for efficient operation of all equipment from the Kiln entrance through the Stackers.
Responsible for accurate accounting of production through Oracle.
Responsible for meeting the work request goal monthly.
Responsible for ensuring proper training of crew members.
Understands the importance of keeping all equipment in top working order through RPM work requests and OBC inspections.
Actively participate in problem solving with regards to the Dunnage machine.
Responsible for ensuring that Dry End crew members assist the West End crew whenever necessary.
Responsible for the proper accounting of all Dry End crew members working time through Kronos.
Responsible for communicating with purchasing personnel regarding any inventory concerns.
Responsible for assisting Line #1 whenever possible.
Must actively participate in plant problem solving and Six Sigma.
Must complete CORE training or be proficient in CORE.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
