Description
Job Description:
- Responsible for overseeing the activities and operations of administrative services in the areas of general administration, financial analysis and business support for a manufacturing facility.
- Manages the financial and administrative tasks for a manufacturing facility.
- Manages receipt and invoicing activity, resolves invoice exceptions and tracks freight receivers for AP processing.
- Performs daily production balancing and completion of PID entries.
- Coordinates communication with AP/Genpact regarding invoice processing.
- Supports all month-end closing activities, financial documentation filing and maintenance.
- Performs and balances monthly accrual rebuild reports for two business units.
- Performs GL entries and balances related to miscellaneous inventory management.
- Prepares, coordinates, and executes cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Assists with Cash Collections and Miscellaneous Sales Invoices.
Plant Specific Responsibilities:
- Supports payroll processing activities including the Kronos time-keeping system.
- Assists with required financial and other compliance audits.
- Prepare, analyze, and report daily, weekly, and monthly cost analysis for specific plant cost centers.
- Assists in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation including raw material and finished goods usage analysis and adjustment investigations.
- Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories.
- Prepares detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, shipments, cost, and inventory as required.
- Supports and assist internal department reporting and test control requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules and others as required by USG Corp.
- Works on special projects as required to support capital, MOB, and continuous improvement initiatives that involve cost analysis.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with a variety of software applications including: Excel, Word, Outlook, and Oracle.
- Microsoft Access, or other database management and reporting experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of Oracle and/or SAP management systems.
- High level of organizational skills and the ability to effectively undertake multiple tasks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to use analytics to evaluate options and make data-driven decisions.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a diverse work environment and enact change through proactive means.
- Local candidates preferred. Relocation will not be offered with this position.
