PRN Endoscopy Technician

Position Overview:
We are currently seeking experienced PRN Endo Tech to join our team at Surgi-Center of Central VA. As a PRN Endo Tech, you will have the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis with no weekends, no holidays, and no call required. This position offers flexibility and a supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up the endoscopy suite for procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready.
- Assist the endoscopy team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols throughout procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning and comfort during endoscopic examinations.
- Handle endoscopic equipment and scopes with care and maintain their cleanliness.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Document procedure information accurately in electronic health records.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized endoscopy suite.

Required Skills:
- Previous experience as an Endoscopy Technician preferred.
- Strong knowledge of endoscopy procedures and equipment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
