What are the responsibilities and job description for the Endoscopy RN position at USPI?
The RN has the responsibility to plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care given to patients in the Endoscopy nursing role. Provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility. Communicates appropriate information to other team members. Helps maintain equipment, supplies, and general cleanliness of the unit. May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager, which may include but are not limited to providing patient care in other peri-operative departments, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement projects.
Required Skills:
Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
- At least 1 year experience as a RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or ICU unit.
- Active RN license in the state.
- BLS
- Current ACLS preferred and included in education plan
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
