Full Time: Insurance Collector Specialist

Job Summary:

The Collector will be responsible for working the facilities A/R report and collecting money due from the Insurance Company. Fighting for reimbursement of claims processing.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

·        If billing information in Advantx system is not correct, pull patient chart and make the necessary changes. Correct rejection errors in Zirmed/Waystar.

·        An extensive knowledge of claims, reimbursement and collection efforts for Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid, Workers Comp, Commercial plans, etc.

·        Answers and directs incoming calls in an efficient, effective, and professional manner.

·        Demonstrates safe work habits in the work place with concern for the safety of patients and employees.

·        Keeps office area neat and organized.

·        Contact clients and collect outstanding payments.

·        Is consistently punctual and shows a responsible and dependable pattern of attendance.

·        Promotes positive working relationships among team members.

·        Attends BO meetings, center staff meetings and participates on any committees when requested.

·        Practices and adheres to all Policies & Procedures set by SSC & USPI/Tenet.

·        Provides lunch/break coverage for front desk when needed.

·        Knowledge of the payment processing of a claim under a managed care contract.

·        Prefer previous experience working with AdvantX. (Patient Accounting System)

·        Alertness and adaptability to a change in a situation.
