What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist - Full Time position at USPI?
We are looking for a full-time medical receptionist to join our team. Someone who is friendly, compassionate, and eager to learn. You will be interfacing with patients, families, physicians, staff, and visitors of the surgery center.
- M-F daytime hours
- No call/holidays
- Must be available for the early shift, as early as 6:15AM
Prepare charts for admission of patients.
Admit patients and process their paperwork.
Update patient demographics/information in system.
Copy of patient information (identification and insurance cards).
Collect money due and document in billing documents. Handle funds per office procedures.
Prepare charts for upcoming surgeries.
Verify Insurances
General clerical duties.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Answering phones and other supporting receptionist tasks.
As Assigned by Business Office Manager
Participate in USPI EDGE program.
Relieve other business office functions, as needed.
Required Skills:
High school graduate or equivalent. *One year previous experience or some hospital clerical experience or medical terminology preferred. *Must have the skills necessary to operate office equipment that are required to fulfill job duties. *Forty-five (45) wpm typing skills required. *Medical terminology and computer experience beneficial *Bilingual preferred. *Good communication skills.
Salary : $27,700 - $35,100
