What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Op/PACU RN - PRN position at USPI?
Provides direct patient care in the Pre and Post-operative areas. Performs all nursing duties within the department interacting professionally with physicians, anesthesia staff, patients, families, and other team members. This position requires strong organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Clinical Nurse Manager and/or Administrator, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits, and projects.
Required Skills:
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Current Missouri Nursing License
- Current BLS
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum 2 year experience
- Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and other staff members.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
- Excellent communication skills

Required Experience:
Education and/or Experience: Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Currently licensed in the state. CPR required. One year experience required post-operative setting. Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
