What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse PACU FT position at USPI?
Mary Immaculate Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking an experienced FT PACU RN to join our team. Mary Immaculate Ambulatory Surgery Center is a ambulatory surgery center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. Our center specializes in the surgical procedures: ENT, general, gynecology, orthopedic and podiatry. - Assess patients’ post-operative condition
- Monitor vital signs and other measurements of progress, meeting discharge criteria
- Check dressings and/or operative sites and report abnormalities
- Log and chart all findings in patient files
- Monitor patients for condition changes, reporting any changes to physician
- Collaborating with all members of the health care team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient’s status and treatment plan.
- Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies
- Participating in process improvement and consistently offering solution based input in improving nursing practice.
- Assist with pre op, if needed
- Assess, instruct and prepare patients prior to surgery
- Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedure
- Initiate IVs and ensure patients are informed about procedure

Required Skills:
- Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in VA
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must have at least 2-4 years' previous experience in post-operative experience
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
- Must have current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification is ideal
- Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.

Salary : $75,100 - $95,100
