What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Pre-Op/PACU FT position at USPI?
Northridge Surgery Center is seeking a motivated FT PreOp PACU RN to join our team. Northridge Surgery Center is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
Our center specializes in the surgical procedures: orthopedics, dental/Oral surgery, general, GI, gynecology, eurosurgery, and pain. The ideal candidate must have experience in orthopedics.
- Assess, instruct and prepare patients prior to surgery
- Take and record vital statistics of patients to ensure readiness for surgical procedure
- Initiate IVs and ensure patients are informed about procedure
- Assess patients’ post-operative condition
- Monitor vital signs and other measurements of progress, meeting discharge criteria
- Log and chart all findings in patient files
- Monitor patients for condition changes, reporting any changes to physician
- Perform intervention duties during post-operative emergencies

Required Skills:
Qualifications:
- Must have an unrestricted TN RN license
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must have ortho experience
- Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
- Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
