What are the responsibilities and job description for the USPI Payroll & Tax Analyst position at USPI?
USPI is seeking an experienced Payroll & Tax Analyst to join our team. This candidate will be responsible for performing a wide variety of payroll and benefit functions in addition to problem resolution. This position requires 5 plus years of related payroll experience.
Major Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as business needs require):
Time Keeping:
Answer Kronos timekeeping related questions.
Assist with software set up, maintenance and security set up.
Review import of new hires and changes from Enterprise to Kronos.
Ability to create and load Kronos import file into Enterprise for new facilities.
Payroll:
Transmit and download payroll data each pay cycle.
Enter maintenance for new facilities.
Hands on year-end payroll process (ensure W2 accuracy).
Answering payroll and benefit deduction related questions.
Payroll related leave administration.
Resource for payroll and tax discrepancy research.
Liaison between facility and ADP Payroll/Tax.
Knowledge of IRS and State regulations.
Knowledge of multi-state pay related practices.
Creating and running ad hoc query reports in Enterprise.
Assist with special projects and inquiries related to payroll.
Administration of wage assignments and garnishments.
Fulfills wage garnishment requirements by completing forms; adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings.

Minimum 5 - 7 years payroll processing experience with ADP PayForce, ADP Smart Compliance, or ADP Enterprise version v4 or above preferred.
Experience with day to day administration of Kronos Timekeeping System version 5.2 or above.
Minimum 1 year experience administering company benefits.
Minimum 5 years of experience with federal, state, local and school district taxes.
General Human Resource experience.
Creating and running reports using ADP Reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, et).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Professional telephone and email etiquette extremely important.
Ability to produce accurate work with attention to detail.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritize workload to meet impending deadlines.
Positive attitude, ability to work under pressure and multitask.
Effective organization and time management skills.
Proficiency working with and analyzing computations.
Communicate effectively with management, benefit vendors and co-workers.
