Piping Designer
Kingsport, TN
Duration: 2 month contract
Job Description:
Piping Designer, with (current) AutoCAD 3D Plant Design experience, capable of producing modeled deliverables that are safe, free of errors, and with minimal supervision. Individual should have experience designing piping within the Chemical, Refining, or Petrochemical industries. The must be capable of interpreting the requirements of Piping Material Specifications and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, as well as have a familiarity with industry codes and standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to model piping and equipment with AutoCAD Plant 3D software
- Determine appropriate pipe support types and required locations
- Experience with Model Review software, preferably Navisworks software
- Familiar with Laser Scan and model combinations > Development of General Equipment Arrangements
- 10 years or more of Piping Design within Chemical, Refining, or Petrochemical industries.
- 3 years of AutoCAD Plant 3D
- Experience is required, proper experience will trump academia however college is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- AutoCAD Plant 3D > Pipe Design & Pipe Support Design experience
- Capable of planning work to align with project budgets and schedules
- AA or Tech diploma in Drafting /Design
