Shipping Receiving Clerk
Kingsport, TN
Duration: 4 month contract
Responsibilities:
- Orders, issues, and receives operations and maintenance materials. Keeps appropriate inventory levels to ensure availability of critical status items.
- Issues stock on demand and maintains records by charging issues against applicable accounting codes and work orders, entering issues into computer system, and maintaining control purchase order file for ordered and delivered items.
- Organizes inventory including ordering needed items based on min/max inventory usage.
- Performs cycle counts on a daily basis.
- Performs receiving inspection on incoming shipments.
- Monitors storage and distribution of gas and diesel fuels including encoding and issuing gas fobs, inventorying gas and diesel fuels, and requisitioning fuel as needed.
- Exercises effective communications skills in relation to daily supplier interface on SMI agreements and monitoring of same.
- Drives company truck for deliveries and off site pickups as required.
- Work in the projects warehouses as it relates to receiving and issuing.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to safely drive company vehicle on and off site,
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to work weekends and/or evenings as required.
- Basic computer skills
- Experience interacting with customers.
- Working in a team environment
- High School diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks. pickup trucks, van or flat-bed truck
- Minimum 2 years warehousing experience in receiving and/or invoicing.
