Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and organized individual to join our team as a Postmaster Relief. In this role, you will assist in the efficient operation of a post office by performing various administrative and customer service duties. This is a paid position with opportunities for career advancement.
Duties:
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Process outgoing mail and packages
- Assist customers with inquiries, providing information on postal services and products
- Sell stamps, money orders, and other postal products
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and financial activities
- Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with postal regulations and security procedures
- Assist in the training of new employees
Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred
- Familiarity with postal operations and procedures is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
