Responsibilities:
- Follow safety rules and regulations
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Interact with internal and external customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Maintain all tennis courts, grounds, and landscaping
- Install windscreens and various court equipment throughout site
- Maintain diverse planting of trees, shrubs and flowers on and around the US Open grounds
- Maintain proper use, storage, and placement of equipment
- Water and monitor the irrigation of plantings
- Perform seasonal landscape work such as pruning, clean-up, and leaf removal
- Clean up litter of planting beds
- Check grounds daily to ensure they are kept neat and clean as per USTA standards
- Properly stock and store equipment such as nettings, center straps, and benches
- Aid in preparation of facility for US Open
- Must be able to lift 60lbs
- Punctual and presentable shift attendance, neatly groomed in a clean, well-maintained uniform
- Available to work for the full duration of the US Open tournament
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts and be available days, nights and weekends
- Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions and able to stand for extended periods
- Personable and proactive team player with excellent communication skills
- Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment as well as during stressful situations
