Overview:
The Extension Marketing Manager (Marketer II) with an emphasis in social media marketing and digital marketing manages digital marketing and communication, and is the voice of USU Extension on social media. This position is designed to amplify the programs and impacts of USU Extension. This position is also responsible for using free and paid advertising to promote USU Extension events and programs online and on social media channels. This position reports to the Extension and CAAS marketing director.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for all social media strategy, creation, management, account growth, advertising, messaging, posting, analytics, and evaluation on USU Extension social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.). This position will also be responsible for digital marketing communications including email strategy and web strategy (SEO, analytics, etc.) This position will also train and advise others on social media best practices and monitor and set up county and program Extension social media accounts. They will ensure to follow USU social media policies.
This position will:

Post daily on Facebook, Instagram and other social media accounts

Manage Facebook and Instagram ads and boosted posts

Manage and approves Facebook events
-
Respond to DM’s and comment as USU Extension on social media pages/posts.

Create and manage YouTube and Google display ads
-
Create new social media accounts for counties/programs and troubleshoot problems for counties.

Manage Facebook Business Manager accounts
-
Manage Extension’s email campaigns and our email service provider

Edit and distribute weekly emails to clientele
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Social media strategies, messaging, advertising, and account management
Social media paid advertising
Best practices for posting and maintaining social media accounts
Training and mentoring those involved in organizational digital marketing efforts
Digital marketing communications (email strategies, web strategies, etc.)
Online marketing and retargeting
Facebook retargeting and the Facebook pixel
Digital marketing research
Website user experience
Website SEO and Google Analytics
YouTube Channel Optimization and Analytics
Managing budgets
Superb client relationship and account management skills
Flexible work schedule for projects that go beyond 8-5
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree plus two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent writing, editing and communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with social media business accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.), digital advertising, content marketing and creating digital marketing campaigns.
