Utilities One is looking for an experienced OSP Foreman/ Lineman in Toledo OH.
We are hiring a professional in aerial and underground fiber-optic construction and maintenance who works as a team player and provides the best of his experience in building the future of the Telecommunications Industry with Utilities One.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee a crew of technicians to ensure that all operations are completed in accordance with safety and industry specifications;
- Install aerial & underground telecommunications cabling, boring, trenching, etc.;
- Undertake pole removal, pole transfers, and set and install new underground cables;
- Aerial fiber optic cable placement and pole setting/transfers;
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair overhead fiber lines;
- Operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks;
- Read and interpret engineering plans;
- Access construction points as required;
- Keep a detailed record of work activity.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of Lineman, telecommunications experience;
- Proficient in new build, coax & fiber installation, and pole transfers;
- Ability to work at heights of 20 ’ feet;
- Lineman, Power, or Telecom Trade School is an advantage;
- Abide by all OSHA and other regulatory bodies' safety standards, the ability to utilize proper safety equipment is a must.
