Who we are
HCEW Management Services, LLC (“HCEW-MS”) provides administrative support services to Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, LLC (“UTMC”), HCEW-MS, and affiliated entities. UTMC, a family-owned 100 year-old company, is the long-term industry leader in refrigerated semi-trailers and North America’s fourth largest semi-trailer manufacturer. UTMC has six manufacturing factories – five in various states within the United States and one in Mexico -- and a research and development facility in California. HCEW and UTMC are headquartered in City of Industry, California. This is an on-site position.
Whom we are looking for
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, detail-oriented, energetic, and organized. This is a multi-site support role working under the direction of the Chief Legal Officer and the Senior Attorney.
Key Responsibilities
• Organize and maintain electronic files and document repositories, including court clips, real-estate transaction records, dealer files, and contracts
• Communicate effectively and clearly to collaborate with staff, internal and external contacts, and senior management
• Monitor email sent to privacy director
• Assist in drafting, preparing, editing, proofreading, and processing contracts
• Track invoices and payments to legal providers
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned and as related to the operation of the Legal Department
• Assist with special projects as needed
• Is self-reliant with minimum instruction from Supervisor
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in law firm or company setting performing legal assistant/secretary tasks
• Bachelor’s degree a plus
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Strong data-entry and document-management systems skills
• Command of the English language and ability to write clearly and concisely
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and Adobe
• Ability to proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
• Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
• Ability to work with fellow employees.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Desire to learn new skills and advance.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Regularly exercises discretion and the ability to prioritize workload.

Compensation
Salary Range: $45,000 to $65,000 annually
