Associates degree or equivalent and two years related experience.   

Job Summary:

The Constituent and Gift Coordinator is a key member of a dynamic and collaborative team charged with fundraising for all UTMB priorities.

The position is responsible for the management of constituent records and performing a variety of complex duties associated with confidential gift processing functions. The Constituent & Gift Coordinator ensures compliance with accounting principles, UTMB policy, state, and federal laws.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five years related work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Willing to accept assignments, large or small, and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of donor database and gift transaction processing.
  • Ability to demonstrate Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of accounting, computer and information systems.
  • Knowledge of database software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the public.

Job Duties:

  • Maintains and ensures data integrity and consistency of data (constituent biographical updates, special attributes, notes)
  • Reviews and "cleans" mailing lists identified through queries to support development events and other activities.
  • Responsible for researching and updating constituent bio demographic information such as profile information, salutations, and change of addresses with use of online and other research tools.
  • Supports the daily gift process for handling UTMB contributions and accompanying documentation following compliance guidelines.
  • Serves as backup to the gift processing at the direction of the Director for entering gifts into the database. Follow defined gift processing procedures. Ensure that gift information is entered accurately.
  • Complete cashier training and meet all other assigned compliance training.
  • Provides administrative backup to include such areas as the annual Emergency Preparedness Plan, Business Continuity Plan, annual space survey, records retention, and asset inventory for approval in conjunction with the Director.
  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Works Schedule:

8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday and as needed on occasion.

Salary Range:

Actual salary commensurate with experience.
