JOB DETAILS :
Courses that are to be taught in the Fall 2024 semester are :
- MAT 097 - Elementary Algebra
- MAT 103 - Intermediate Algebra
- MAT 110 - College Algebra
In addition, this position will assist the
QUALIFICATIONS :
Minimum Qualifications :
- A Master's Degree in Mathematics or
- A Master's Degree in a related field and 18 graduate credit hours in mathematics
Desired Qualifications :
- Experience teaching developmental and lower-division college mathematics or co-requisite support courses.
- Experience using learning management software to deliver courses. UW-Whitewater uses Canvas.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations, including necessary training and drills
- Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
RESPONSIBILITIES :

In addition, this position will assist the TRiO SSS program meeting the following objectives :
- 72% of all participants served will persist from one academic year to the beginning of the next academic year or graduate and / or transfer from a 2-year to a 4-year institution during the academic year as a result of an integrated plan of academic, career, and personal advising (Objective 1 of the TRiO SSS grant).
- 74% of all participants will be in good academic standing as defined by a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or better at the end of the academic year as a result of an individually designed service delivery plan for all participants and specialized monitoring and advising for those on probation (Objective 2 of the TRiO SSS grant).
- 15% of new participants served each year will graduate with an Associate Degree within four years and 10% of new participants will transfer with an Associate Degree within four years (Objective 3 of the TRiO SSS grant).
- 100% of program participants will have an individually designed and maintained plan of advising and academic support as a result of assessment (Objective 4 of the TRiO SSS grant).

TRIO is a federally funded program that provides structured academic, personal and career assistance to students as they complete their college education.
