Receiving Clerk's main responsibilities are:

  • Unload and receive freight using proper receiving procedures.
  • Verify and validate merchandise quantity with invoice and quality of product received.
  • Log invoices, incoming freights and deliveries received for all departments (where applicable)
  • Coordinate, collaborate and notify management and/or respective recipient when merchandise arrives.
  • Secure loading dock area and verifies closing procedures have been accomplished.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the loading dock, including the inside, outside and the back area.
  • Keep the receiving area organized and easily accessible.
  • Use appropriate equipment, e.g., forklift/pallet jack, to move merchandise in their appropriate location

Qualifications

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Prior retail experience and knowledge of Asian products preferred.
  • Excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of basic math skills, ten key/calculator, comfortable using computer
  • Flexible schedule
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
