***This is a remote position. Contractors who live outside of North Carolina will not be issued any state computer equipment. They are required to use DIT's Citrix Remote PC system, and their personal or vendor provided computer equipment to access DIT's systems.
Description: The North Carolina Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) Transportation is seeking a GIS Technical Specialist contractor for an approximate 12-month engagement. The position will be assigned to the GIS Unit to specifically provide Business Analysis and Project Management support to the GIS Unit's Project Delivery team
Responsibilities:
- This position will primarily support project ATLAS software and data development but may engage in supporting other Project Delivery tasks or projects such as SPOT On!ine or the Comprehensive Transportation Planning Toolset
- The responsibilities of this support service is gathering and documenting requirements, tracking and guiding the Project Delivery tasks, assisting with managing project timelines and tasks, assisting with testing and troubleshooting of system issues, and collaboration for the effective delivery of the software.
- The candidate will use Microsoft DevOps on a regular basis in support of these efforts.
