General Summary :

The Data Warehouse Administrator participate in the design, implementation, and ongoing modification of a modern architecture solution in Azure.

The Data Warehouse Administrator works with internal team members and contractors to develop new and support existing data warehouse and data reporting environments including Azure Data Lake, SQL Data Warehouse, Synapse, SSRS, SSAS and Power BI.

The Data Warehouse Administrator works alongside other

Data Services team members using DevOps to provide and support continuous delivery and implementation development lifecycle.

Essential Position Functions :

Develop and manage effective working relationships with other departments, groups, and personnel with whom work must be coordinated or interfaced.

Establish and enforce data warehousing standards to meet requirements and business needs.

Evaluate our current back-end processes. Create and improve the underlying data design and flow of information.

Utilize Azure s ti ck modules such as Data Factories, Data Lake, SQL DW and Synapse in support of ongoing data warehouse and repou r ing needs.

Assist in the overall architecture of the Azure Data Vault u ti lizing Data Vault 2.0 best prac t ices.

Interpret business requirements and ac ti vely provide input from data perspec ti ve.

Build simple to complex pipelines and dataflows.

Build reliable, scalable distributed systems for data analy s is and repor ti ng.

Coach, guide, and mentor team members on Azure development best prac ti ces.

Implement and maintain security and authorizi n g framework modules.

Integrate and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS) methodology.

Conduct root cause analysis and resolve performance and produc ti on problems and data issues.

Provide ongoing maintenance and support of Azure data environment.

Document technical designs and architecture, workflow, dataflow and processes.

Validate accuracy and consistency of the data in the database and test the developed routines.

Meet professional obliga ti ons through efficient work habits such as, mee ti ng deadlines, honoring schedules, coordina ti ng resources and mee ti ngs in an effec ti ve and ti mely manner, and demonstra ti ng respect for others.

All work responsibili ti es are subject to having performance goals and / or targets established.

Provide a minimum of weekly status report updates for current projects.
