Job Description

• Provides ongoing network support, addresses availability issues, overcomes performance problems.
• Installs, maintains, and coordinates the use of network systems.
• Manages network performance, diagnoses performance problems, and undertakes tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLA requirements.
• Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network.
• Reports on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues and plans to improve network availability, performance, and problem resolution.
• Trains users, maintains, creates, and deletes user accounts.
• Maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms.
• Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures, and standards.
• Enforces network security policies and procedures. Supports integration of tactical rotational networks such as JNN; JNTC; MCS;JTEN
  
  

Education/Experience

(2 BA/BS or 1 MA/MS) or (4 AA) or (6 No Degree)

8750 DoD Certification

Required Experience

• Experience providing ongoing network support, addressing availability issues, and overcoming performance problems.
• Skilled in installing, maintaining, and coordinating the use of network systems.
• Experience managing network performance, diagnosing performance problems, and undertaking tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLA requirements.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network.
• Experience reporting on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues, and plans to improve network availability, performance, and problem resolution.
• Experience training users, maintaining, creating, and deleting user accounts.
• Skilled in maintaining and updating system security plans on all platforms.
• Experience implementing and coordinating network policies, procedures, and standards.
• Experience enforcing network security policies and procedures. Supports integration of tactical rotational networks such as JNN, JNTC, MCS, JTEN.
