What we're looking for
We're searching for hard-working individuals to drive a company truck to assigned properties and load/unload linen (or other items) as directed.
This is a seasonal position. We are hiring for this position now and employment is expected to end on or around 9/30/2023. While the company is under no obligation to extend your employment through the season nor beyond the end date, there may be additional opportunities within this or other roles.
What you'll do
- Drive company truck to assigned locations for delivery and pick-up of linen in timely manner as directed.
- Load and unload linen carts and other items out of the truck to assigned properties and the central laundry.
- Unload clean linen at facility and inventory
- Inspect the delivery vehicle daily any visible damages and/or maintenance concerns and report to Laundry Supervisor/Manager. Maintain clean/orderly delivery vehicles.
- Train new Laundry Drivers.
- Inspect, sort, wash, dry and fold linen as directed/necessary.
- Maintain clean organized laundry rooms.
- Responsible for security of vehicle keys and laundry room keys.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Properly and accurately enter weight of clean and/or soiled linen in excel format at scale.
The skills you'll need
- Daytime and weekend availability
- Friday evenings/Saturday/Sundays are mandatory. Two days off will be either Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday.
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Highly responsive and reliable
- Prior experience in linen care is preferred although we can train the right individual
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time.
- Reach overhead and below the waist
- Push, pull, and lift less than or equal to 50 pounds
- Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist
- Operate machinery and use of cleaning products
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Compensation
- $18/hour
- $500 BONUS! Paid after 30 days of employment
- Company vehicle provided- Employees who are required to drive a company vehicle must have a valid driver's license, be at least 21 years of age, and have been a licensed driver for no less than 3 years.
