Job Description
Through leading innovations, we help farmers around the world meet the challenge of feeding a growing population and taking care of our planet. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Coordinator for the Valagro Manufacturing team in Orangeburg, SC. As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will ensure the maintenance of operational plants, guaranteeing the reliability of production and utility distribution assets in accordance with established safety, quality, environmental, and cost standards. Manage plant reliability, supervise maintenance personnel, and ensure compliance with all current Q-ESH laws and regulations.
This position will be on site in South Carolina. Optimal support location for the territory is in the Orangeburg or Columbia area.
Duties
- Ensure the efficiency and reliability of site assets, including machines, plants, equipment, instruments, utilities, facilities, buildings, and roads.
- Manage the distribution and utilization of all energy vectors through utilities assets, focusing on energy and utilities management.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures as mandated by law and operating handbooks.
- Oversee the engineering management of site asset reliability.
- Identify, develop, and monitor performance KPIs related to asset reliability and energy/utilities management.
- Plan and schedule ordinary and extraordinary maintenance in accordance with technical and safety regulations.
- Safely and reliably coordinate and execute maintenance activities.
- Propose potential improvements in health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Contribute to global industrial projects as needed, aligning with the overall strategy and mid-term plan.
- Assist in managing contracts and tenders for spare parts, equipment, tools, and services.
- Manage the spare parts warehouse and identify assets requiring replacement, modernization, updating, or upgrading.
- Plan and organize maintenance personnel, preparing weekly shifts according to the agreed plan.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial) with 3 years of proven experience in a similar position.
- Strong continuous improvement, process risk assessment, and HSE excellence mindset.
- Experience in maintenance and energy management roles (preferably in chemical company)
- Experience working in cross-functional organizations, navigating a dynamic environment ensuring effective and focused project delivery (on time and within budget).
- Proven ability to prioritize activities and manage multiple requests from different stakeholders.
Preferred
- Proven experience from a plant environment is strongly preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Belt certification.
