Are you seeking a manufacturing position in the Valdese/Morganton NC Area? We have an entry level manufacturing Weaving Off Bearer position that will get your foot in the door, while you learn the basics of the weaving industry. As you grow with the company, you can train in other positions.

HOURS: 1st shift 7:00am - 3:00pm

Essential Functions:

• Must be motivated to learn.

• Motivated to perform light to medium lifting and physical activity.

• Associates are required to report on non-conformance of all product

• Ensure the workspace is 5S ready, clean, and orderly.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• No experience is necessary.

• Will train.

Pay: $14.20 per hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Safety:

• Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.

• Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.

• Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.

2. Attendance:

• Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals.

3. Work Ethics:

• Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.

• Meet deadlines and production quotas.

• Get along with co-workers.

• Follow instructions.

• Work scheduled overtime.

4. Duties: Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards.

• Vacuum/clean assigned looms and creels.

• Vacuum overhead lights in weaver and warp alley.

• Keep floors swept clean throughout shift.

• Collect selvage waste and take to recycling area.

• Clean assigned stairs.

• Clean air conditioning vents.

• Doff cloth when looms flagged.

• Advise supervisor if no ticket flagged is located. Do not doff cloth to cloth room without ticket.

• Empty trash cans as needed.

OTHER JOB ELEMENTS:

• Perform other duties as needed to complete the job or as required by supervisor.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB:

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
