Vale Group has partnered with a company in the aerospace & defense industry, based in Stockton, CA, who is actively searching for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to work onsite for an opportunity paying $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 annual salary, based on experience. This hands-on role provides crucial technical support to Production Operations, involving the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes, detailed work instructions, special tooling/equipment, and production floor support required for assembling and overhauling a variety of LRUs and full jet engines. Requirements of the Manufacturing Engineer:
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a related field
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Master's degree is a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to work from prints, sketches, planning, or verbal instructions
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and wiring diagrams
- Experience with CAD software
- Working knowledge/experience with turbine engine assembly process methods and work instructions
- Familiarity with AS9100/9110 industry standards and common military specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Manufacturing background with automation and shop floor experience
- Provide technical support for production operations, including the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes
- Develop and implement detailed work instructions and production travelers
- Design and utilize special tooling/equipment necessary for production
- Conduct detailed failure analysis and develop root cause solutions
- Implement corrective/preventative actions as needed
- Collaborate with team members and demonstrate strong technical writing and presentation skills
- Maintain familiarity with aerospace/automotive factory processes
