As a Technical Project Manager at Valence, you will work alongside a group of talented engineers, project managers and analysts defining and implementing end-to-end, leading-edge solutions for our enterprise clients. In this role, you will:
- Plan, manage, monitor project workstreams and interdependencies
- Lead scrum ceremonies and act as a servant leader for the project teams
- Ensure all project / program tasks are clearly understood, assigned and tracked.
- Develop relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and cross functional teams to ensure solutions meet timeline and business objectives
- Identify critical program milestones, risks and options to mitigate risks
- Investigate to understand where problems are likely to occur
- Clarify problems by driving to understand the true issue
- Assess issues by identifying likely root causes and consequences
- Effectively manage and report on risks and mitigation, scope, budget and timelines
- Create plan of action based on data from multiple sources inside and outside immediate area
- Complete all project documentation required based on our PMO process
- Complete projects and delivers agreed results
- Identify valid and relevant data supporting key decisions
- Use judgment to involve other senior team members when navigating difficult stakeholder issues
- Know when and how to escalate. May not always be able to solve a problem, but understands when to escalate issues and areas of risk and obtain guidance
- Consider project needs when planning vacation time and proactively communicates availability
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Technical Project Management background, ideally in a cloud /distributed environment.
- Able to distill complex data/analyses into understandable information, guidance and actions.
- Strong Agile methodology fundamentals and ability to teach / train best practices within Agile
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills both internally and across partner teams.
- Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Software / Technology development experience
- Previous experience managing software development teams / projects using Agile methodologies
- Experience delivering products leveraging cloud services (Azure, AWS)
- PMP Certification is also a nice addition, but not required
