Position Summary:

The role of the Material Requirements Planner (the “MRP”) is responsible for ensuring the continuity of supply for all materials related to the production facilities (raw materials, packaging, active ingredients, and others) in the mid and long-term. In addition, the MRP leads all material flow through the company, develops and manages replenishment strategies for assigned materials, optimizes the balance between supplier availability, production needs, inventory value, and risk of obsolescence. The successful candidate will focus on ensuring the raw material availability to deliver the master production for the next 24 months, avoiding back orders in our customer forecast, establishing continuous communication flow, and giving visibility in the short and long term while balancing the inventory costs. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for leading the short-term execution (Suppliers, In-bound and Production).
  • Lead a weekly material shortages meeting, which will address risks and opportunities.
  • Connect with the Quality team to provide feedback about Supplier quality issues.
  • Project materials inventories based on sales forecast and production plan.
  • Define a stocks strategy for raw and pack materials.
  • Critically analyze the material requirements calculation – verify demand vs. inventory on hand.
  • Create an MRP plan that will meet the needs of the medium-long-term production plan.
  • Analyze data, including materials requirements planning information, to determine stocking policies.
  • Provide the purchase plan monthly – based on reviewed demand.
  • Develop and control material KPIs.
  • Develop a materials dashboard with overall visibility.
  • Develop a tool to optimize the materials flow and control.
  • Generate and analyze MRP reports in SAP and other systems, as needed.
  • Create purchase requisition based on MRP plan in SAP.
  • Leads, communicates and implements corrective action to realign supply where schedules / execution problems arise to minimize / eliminate risk to financial & customer performance.
  • Troubleshoot problems and questions regarding purchases, suppliers.
  • Support schedulers in a short-term ensuring material availability.
  • Work closely with MPS to align material availability and production plan.
  • Develop scenarios for the SMR meeting, including all risks and opportunities. 
  • Support Inventory Specialist with the material plan and doing scenarios to improve inventory costs.
  • Work closely with Procurement and Logistics to provide reliable materials lead time and follow up purchase order tracking.
  • Work with Quality on non-conforming components for timely disposition.
  • Lead material review meetings and support the operation .
  • Support the MDM team in the continuous improvement process.
  • Manage material information in SAP (system care).
  • Define ways of working with different areas.
  • Ensure that all involved parties are cognizant of production status and that work, planning, and execution objectives are integrated and communicated.
  • Being involved in the NPI process.
  • Takes ownership of critical results and orients activity to achieve them.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, or related field
  • Experience in planning and functional process knowledge
  • 3-5 Years’ exposure in broad-based Supply Chain management
  • ERP program knowledge is advantage (SAP)
  • Manage the Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) system 
  • Good knowledge and experience in NPI environment, inventory management, inventory control, engineering change management, product lifecycle management, and design-for-manufacturing materials program management
  • APICS or SCM, CPP or similar qualifications also highly regarded
  • Highly experienced with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong influencing, communication, and analytics skills
  • Experienced within a multinational organization.
  • Reliable, structured, solution- and team-oriented individual
