As a Trader you will manage the purchase/sales and marketing of ethanol.

Our goal at Valero is to continue to be the premier manufacturer, distributor, and marketer of quality transportation fuels and petrochemical feedstocks, while serving the needs of our employees, communities and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to work and concentrate in a trading room environment including noise and distractions.
• Ability to occasionally travel overnight
• Excellent verbal and written communications and decision-making skills required along with the ability to evaluate complicated transactions using initiative and independent judgment.
• Must be able to formalize, communicate and present ideas to management in a concise manner.
• Excellent PC skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Ability to read and interpret company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation.
• Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications.
• Skill in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization.

This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's or higher-level degree in a related field required.
• 5 years of Commercial experience with at least 2 years of Trading experience required.
• Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio location, required

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor's or higher-level degree in Business or Agribusiness.
• Experience in trading or other commercial work experience.
• Experience in economics of purchasing, transporting, storing, and blending of products.
• Experience in developing and trading international arbitrages.
• Marine logistics and chartering experience.
• Bilingual preferred.

Position level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
