We are looking for a Associate Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will provide tax preparation services for individuals and small businesses and is responsible for entering information into the relevant forms, ensuring all submitted information is accurate, and collecting payment for services. As a growing company we are interested in hiring resourceful, responsible team members with excellent time management and self-governance and an interest in continuously learning new skills.
MUST HAVE A DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING OR BE IN PROCESS OF COMPLETING A DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; verifying, allocating, and posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance.
2. With supervision, reconcile & prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends, financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
3. With supervision, comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
4. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
5. Enter data into tax preparation software, Review tax forms for errors and omissions, Work with other tax professionals to resolve issues with clients, Stay current with changes to the tax code and File business and personal tax returns for clients.

**Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications, and hiring arrangement is flexible**
