AS400 System Admin
Location: NC (But Remote)
The AS400 Sysadmin will be a key member of the Information Technology team. The role will be responsible for managing all iSeries and AS400 environments and is responsible for all aspects of the JD Edwards environments. Working with the systems development staff, will assist with troubleshooting issues. The role will support multiple ERP environments across several divisions of the company.
1.IBM AS/400 Systems day to day system support – user security / role management
- Manage print queue and printer management
- Maintain LPAR’s (logically partitioned) AS/400’s and HMC’s (Hardware Management Console)
- Implement the internal and external auditing requirements
- Development, Test, and UAT environments refresh
- Work directly with development staff to troubleshoot application issues and project management of upgrade
- Participate in system upgrades by assisting in planning and testing system upgrades
- Designing and implementing redundant systems, policies, and procedures for backups, DR and data archiving
- Minimum one full upgrade lifecycle experience. iSeries AS400 to Power 8 to Power 10 or Oracle JDE 7.x,8.9.x
- Must be willing to work flexible schedules outside of regular business hours as needed and willing to travel.
