Mainframe Support Engineer (remote)

 
Pay Range $45.00/w2 to $65.00/w2 , This position can compensate more depending on additional skills set that can be more valuable to the enterprise, don’t hesitate to apply if you’re a strong technical fit for this position.

Cobol, CICS, JAVA, IBM Utilities, Database would be helpful especially Datacom, English skills. Working time zone US hours.

Position Description: Sr. Mainframe Technical Resource/Lead (specializing in application support)

Objective: Develop and support mainframe processes/applications.

Responsibilities:

• Review existing documentation

• Use of enterprise reporting tools to track and report progress and status.

• For data files and elements, establishing data dictionary and definition of all data transformation rules

• Daily Status meetings with manager

• Project schedule

• Mainframe knowledge

• COBOL*

• CICS*

• VSAM*

• JCL*

• CA 7 Scheduling*

• TSO*

• Experience in various mainframe utilities to be able to complete the required documentation. Knowledge of Proclib and other mainframe utilities

• Excellent writing skills

• Analytical mind set

• Ability to lead in a matrixed environment.

• Migration
