Valley Perinatal Services (VPS) is a premier Maternal-Fetal Medicine organization that caters to high-risk expectant mothers and their babies. Built on the vision of Dr. John Elliott through his unique proven methods to consistently obtain the highest gestational age for high-order multiple deliveries. Our highly specialized team of physicians have helped deliver over 2,800 babies, who arrived as singletons, twins, triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, and higher.

Our staff of highly skilled nurse practitioners and nurse midwives, specially trained ultrasound sonographers, experienced medical assistants, and friendly administrative support our physicians in providing the highest level of co-managed and personalized perinatal care possible.

Our goal is to provide the highest quality of compassionate, comprehensive care to our patients offering the BEST POSSIBLE OUTCOME for Mother and Baby. Valley Perinatal delivers better outcomes for high-risk pregnant mothers and their babies, allowing increased deliveries by the mother’s selected physician at the physicians and mothers selected local facility.

Job Summary

The Referring Provider Specialist is the primary liaison between Valley Perinatal Services and external providers. You are responsible for overseeing referral coordination and responsible for increasing engagement with referring providers—through in person and remote communication. You will take escalated referral phone calls, address special referral needs, collect, and keep record of all referrals, point of contact information, and contribute to overall improvement of provider relations.

Duties/Responsibilities

· Data entry of provider information

· Data entry of patient information for referral coordination

· Provide feedback to reduce errors and improve processes

· Interface with providers to answer inquiries or gather further information

regarding provider satisfaction via phone, text and in-person meetings

· Prepare documentation for patient referrals

· Follow-up with provider for missing paperwork and document the system

· Provide functional support to the Patient Representative team

· Educate providers by instructing and advising of the comprehensive policies and procedures involving all

phases of the patient journey

· Organize and present MFM information to providers and their staff

· Assist in resolving elevated complaints and issues for patients and providers Assist with Patient scheduling as needed.

· Creating job training aides for Patient Representatives

Required Skills/Abilities

· 1 years of Call Center experience

· 6 months of experience handling escalated in a call center.

· Ability to create, copy, edit, send & save documents, spreadsheets, and correspondence using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Outlook

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work with multiple computer systems simultaneously

· Professional and positive display of compassion and commitment to service excellence

· Experience with Call Center technology (i.e. auto dialer, Virtual Call Center Software)

· Experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine, OB/GYN or co-managed care

· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication to audience

Education /Experience

· High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to walk and stand for extended intervals

· Some travel between offices required, but primarily remote.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

  • Glendale, AZ 85304: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
